The Building is located in the center of Ghent. It was originally built as an administration office and communication center (telephone and telex).

The area (Portussite) and building will be redeveloped around 2020. A competition was won by Coussee & Goris Architects. The current plan is to partially demolish the building, the rest is supposed to be covered in a new facade.
