“Six concrete mushrooms”–this is how this church building is often described. The sculptural church building is located on a large area. Via a large square covered with plane trees and seven high concrete steles, one reaches a rising ramp that takes the visitor under the bell tower to the entrance portal. The ground plan shows an unconventionally designed central room consisting of three irregular polygons. Six concrete columns support fan-like roof sections in different hights, covered with a rhythmic formwork pattern. Thinly bent, fragile-looking concrete and glass surfaces form the walls. The glass surfaces connect the exterior with the interior, while the concrete surfaces in the interior were covered with painted fabrics. This gives the interior a lightness and a movement. The altar is located in the center of the church on a square floor plan.
The freestanding bell tower was built in 1989.
