The town hall in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, designed by Harald Deilmann, is characterized by its clear lines and the use of exposed concrete. The façade is broken up by large windows. With the tower elements in the middle of the building, which rise up in a staggered fashion, the building becomes a landmark.

Originally exposed concrete painted during façade refurbishment in 2004. The historical working group of the Rheda local history association wanted to have Deilmann's town hall inspected for listed buildings in mid-2020.
This building was included in the red list, published in our exhibition catalog SOS Brutalism: A Global Survey (September 2017). After a status review on March 4, 2025, it was reclassified in the online database from red (endangered) to gray (least concerned / unknown).
