The campus was established in 1963 and lies on a rise on the outskirts of Vancouver. The buildings are relatively flat and in part terraced to blend with the surroundings. The most prominent structures: the Academic Quadrangle and the W.A.C. Library, often used as a film set.

The library had two stories added in the mid-1970s. Modernization in 2013–2014 and redesign of the interior fittings.
