This Public Safety Building is an example how only a few prefabricated parts can suffice to create an unusually striking, brutalist façade.

Demolished in 2020. The building had structural problems, particularly crumbling facades. It had been closed since 2016. Public Safety has moved to another building. New multi-use facilities will be built on the site.

This building was included in the red list, published in our exhibition catalog SOS Brutalism: A Global Survey (September 2017). After a status review on September 23, 2024, it was reclassified in the online database from red (endangered) to black (demolished).
