  • The two government buildings designed by John Engh were built to house the police station and the court. The smaller wing was built for the latter, whilst the larger building was allocated to the police station. The buildings are constructed in exposed concrete and are compact, clearly structured and cubic in form. The façade design is particularly characterised by the use of rhythmically spaced brise-soleils in front of the rows of windows.

  • In use. The smaller unit, serving as the courthouse, has a protected façade, while the larger police department building was rebuilt and re-clad in 2006. Following the rehabilitation by Add Arkitekter, the building will continue to function as a courthouse, complemented by a new connecting addition. From within this addition, the original façade of the former police department is revealed (last updated on April 15, 2026).Â
