  • The Alexander M. Bracken Library at Ball State University is the main library on campus. On May 24, 1972, ground was broken. The library opened in September 1975. It is a building measuring around 30,000 m² whose floor plan consists of elongated and L-shaped structures that accumulate into a large, multi-story overall volume. The rich red brick façade gives the building its distinctive appearance. Inside, there are also exposed brick walls and raw exposed concrete walls, stairs, and columns.

The building houses a casting of Albin Polasek's Forest Idyll, also known as “The Naked Lady,†which is used as a popular meeting place.

  • In use and good condition (last updated on August 14, 2025).
