The new canteen on the Bockenheim campus is built up over several rectangular cubes of different sizes, the horizontal effect of which is further emphasized by the ribbon windows. The façade is complemented by characteristic concrete parapets.

Temporarily used as a refugee home under the name Labsaal. Scheduled for demolition. Many activist groups try to save the building.

This building was included in the red list, published in our exhibition catalog SOS Brutalism: A Global Survey (September 2017). After a status review on November 22, 2024, it is still classified as red (endangered) in the online database.
