The hall contains 2,200 fixed bleachers and can accommodate up to 3,500 spectators. Built in 1963 in the heart of a vast 52-hectare sports and leisure area, the building was inaugurated in 1970 after seven years of construction.

In use. "The Saucer" was listed as a historic monument by decree on May 29, 2019.
