The church built by architect Fritz Bornemann is the successor of the former "Dankeskirche", which was heavily damaged during the Second World War. The steel skeleton building is encased in exposed concrete and has a staggered structure with the use of individual walls. Behind the front wall are the church tower bells.

After fusioning with another parish in use as "youth church". Heritage protected since 2008 (last updated on May 7, 2024).
