The High School in Stettbach was the first school designed by the architect couple Esther and Rudolf Guyer. The site includes a main teaching wing and a gymnasium with indoor swimming pool. The school building is accessed from the busy Dübendorfstrasse via a monumental staircase. While the façade is made of exposed concrete, brick is the dominant material on the inside. Art interventions by Eva Pauli in bright orange, blue, green and violet as well as colourful window frames and golden candelabras break with the rough material language of the exposed concrete. The school is inspired by Le Corbusier's La Tourette monastery.
