A diamond-shaped floor plan, a bell tower facing the street and a curved concrete roof which seems very light. The church stands there like a stretched out tent.  Since 1988, the interior has been home to the painting "Madonna vor Stacheldraht und Trümmern" by Otto Dix. Since then, the church has been considered a pilgrimage church, with monthly pilgrimages to the painting.
