A school building which, so it seems, has eluded all norms. Sculptural elements everywhere. Two stairs lead the visitor to the first floor of the organic exposed concrete building. Here is the entrance and access to a platform. No floor plan can be assigned to the building. Pointed corners of the building seem to peek out of the façade, whole parts of the façade appear as if they have slipped by accident and stairs look as if they are impossible to climb. The roof overhangs the top floor and seems to float. A special feature of the building is a central atrium roofing in the form of a glass fibre dome which was developed by structural engineer Heinz Isler.

Heritage protected since 2009.
The exposed concrete was painted gray subsequently. During a general refurbishment project in 2014, not only the damaged concrete was repaired, but also the glass dome was reconstructed true to the original (last updated on May 29, 2024).Â
