Exhibition hall for VEB Carl Zeiss Jena at the former Leipzig's trade fair area. It was erected by a polish firm thus enabling higher standards in building materials than usual in German Democratic Republic at the time. Next to the entrance there is a large hall with a gallery for up to 950 people. The whole building complex has a space capacity of 5,000 square meters on four storeys. The construction consists of reinforced concrete with washed concrete panels outside. Written by Torsten Ahlers

In 2008 the complex was acquired by a Christian association named “Pavillon der Hoffnung e.V.” (pavilion of hope) as an interdenominational meeting place, for youth work and for diverse activities. Apart from the now brightly painted two-storey annex the building seems to be in original and good condition.
Heritage protected since 2022 (last updated on January 10, 2024).
