Javier Carvajal is one of the most famous Spanish architects of the 20th century. Designing the Casa Carvajal, he was inspired by the Alhambra in Granada that integrates the surrounding vegetation into the building, with the architecture revolveing around two patios that provide light to all the rooms. The one-story house located on a slope is built on three platforms. Small jumps are forming the spaces and mark the change of program. The house is divided into 4 zones, for the adults, children, the service and common areas.
