The Graz office of Szyszkowitz + Kowalski was founded in 1978. They are regarded as key co-founders of the "Graz School" architecture scene. Szyszkowitz + Kowalski use an emphatically three-dimensional and expressive architectural language in their personal work, which can also be seen in the Biotechnical Institute building. Various metal, glass and concrete elements are combined in a variety of ways with rectangular, diagonal and round shapes.
