Pfalzer & Schenk: Catholic Mary, Queen of Peace Church, 1968?–1970

Exposed concrete church building with partially sloped roof and separate bell tower. The tower is abstractly shaped with two peaks of unequal height. The tower is accessible by an outdoor spiral staircase. A special feature is the interior of the church, which appears with a crystalline broken effect due to differently arranged angles of the walls and differently directed formwork structures in the exposed concrete.
The church was built according to plans by the Laupheim architectural firm of Pfalzer and Schenk, and the chancel was designed by Sigmunda May, a nun from Sießen. The Stations of the Cross are formed by four original woodcuts by the artist HAP Grieshaber from 1969.
