At the beginning of the 1970s, Munich was in the throes of a great euphoria for new construction. In the course of this development, this residential and commercial building on Fuchsstrasse was built and soon affectionately christened the "Fuchsbau" (engl.: fox's den) by the people of Munich. It is a three-armed, pyramid-shaped terrace building with nine stories. The façade is made of fluted exposed concrete and is complemented at the balconies by strikingly shaped precast concrete balustrades. The residents of the in total 239 apartments enjoy the luxury of a communal roof terrace with swimming pool. The wider first floor features an elongated retail zone, and the site's outdoor spaces provide additional recreational areas, adorned with figurative bronze sculptures and an amorphous stone sculpture by Lászlo Szabó.
The brutalist characteristics of the fox's den are evident in its monumentality and distinctive silhouette on the one hand, and in the differentiated exposed concrete façade on the other.
