With its height of 65 meters, the so-called "Two Towers" of the Experimental Silo belong to the landmarks of the city of Samara. The design with two vertical cylinders encloses an industrial grain elevator. It is the first vertical silo in the USSR and the whole building was the first in Samara for which the sliding formwork method was used. The crown-like design of the tower terminations contributes to the high recognition value of the building. Due to its material visibility as well as its sculptural features, the building undoubtedly stands out as brutalist.

Threatened by demolition. The owner of the building already demolished a smaller cubic part of the complex in February 2023. Attempts to obtain heritage protection for the building have so far been rejected.
There is an initiative that is trying to save the building (last updated on February 20, 2023).
