Monumental extension of the cemetery in Busto Arsizio, Varese in Italy. 16 square modules are arranged around the center of a square, each of which is open at one corner to allow access for visitors. Niches for urns are set up on the inner rear walls of the structure, which can be reached via stairways on two levels and are covered by a porch and superstructure with large round openings and narrow stilts. The pattern of the formwork boards has been left in the exposed concrete which accentuates the sculptural design.
